                 TCA ELECTS BOARD OFFICERS, EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS
           
       TWC North Texas Division President Robert V. Moel elected chairman
          Comcast Houston’s VP of Public Relations Ray Purser elected vice-chairman

AUSTIN – Members of the Texas Cable Association (TCA) have elected Time Warner Cable North Texas Division President Robert V. Moel to serve as chairman and Ray Purser of Comcast Houston to serve as vice chairman of TCA effective July 1 for a one-year term.

Moel is responsible for leading the operations of Time Warner Cable North Texas Division based in Dallas.

“I’m excited and honored to have been chosen to represent the cable industry in Texas,” said Moel. The work of the Texas Cable Association is vitally important to our industry and to our customers. This year, TCA members successfully lobbied for reform of the Universal Service Fund (USF), leading to more than $144 million in savings to Texas taxpayers. Additionally, Texas cable operators continue to invest in the communities they serve, deploying more advanced services and preparing cable customers for the coming digital transition.”

Purser is vice president of public relations of Comcast Houston.

“I’m honored to be able to represent Texas Cable Association and Comcast in this capacity,” Purser said. “And I look forward to working closely with our member companies to showcase all that the cable industry has to offer Texas consumers. Moel served as TCA’s vice chairman and Purser served as TCA’s treasurer since 2007.

Other officers elected to TCA’s executive committee include: Kevin Allen (Charter Communications), secretary; Ron McMillan (Time Warner Cable Texas Region), treasurer; Connie Wharton (Time Warner Cable Southwest), director member; Skip Ogle (Suddenlink), immediate past chairman.
